12 Day Honeymoon Safari Tanzania & Zanzibar

Day 1

Arrival in Tanzania.

As you step out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Jambo guide welcomes you with a warm smile and a cheerful ‘Karibu Tanzania – welcome to Tanzania!’ From there, you’re whisked away to your first hotel, where you can unwind and soak in the authentic African ambiance. The following day marks the beginning of your private safari adventure. With a dedicated guide and your own safari vehicle, you’ll have the freedom to explore at your own rhythm—pausing as long as you wish to admire a lion in the shade or a herd of elephants on the move. This is your exclusive journey into the heart of Tanzania’s wild beauty, designed entirely around your pace and preferences.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire National Park welcomes you with a landscape unlike any other—dotted with towering baobab trees that have stood for centuries, their thick trunks holding the secret to survival in the dry season. These ancient giants become lifelines, as elephants skillfully tap into their moisture-rich cores. During the dry months, life gathers around the Tarangire River, the park’s only permanent water source. Here, you might witness the awe-inspiring sight of up to 250 elephants congregating at once, joined by zebras, giraffes, and antelope, all drawn to the river’s promise. It’s a living, breathing canvas of the wild—vibrant, raw, and deeply moving. In late Afternoon we drive to Mto wa Mbuu for stay overnight.

Day 3-4

Serengeti NP (Central, west & East)

The Serengeti—a name that stirs the soul and awakens the spirit of adventure. This legendary landscape stretches endlessly beneath a golden sun, where the rhythm of life beats to the thunder of the Great Migration. Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebras surging across the plains, a primal dance of survival that draws predators in their wake. Here, the wild reigns supreme: over 4,000 lions prowl these grasses, alongside elusive leopards, lightning-fast cheetahs, cunning hyenas, and packs of endangered wild dogs.  Day 5

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Descending into the Ngorongoro Crater is like stepping into a lost world—a natural amphitheater sculpted by fire and time, now bursting with life. Formed over two million years ago by the collapse of a massive volcano, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa’s seven natural wonders—and it’s easy to see why. The fertile volcanic soil has nurtured a breathtaking ecosystem, home to the densest concentration of wildlife on the continent. As you enter the crater floor, you are surrounded by a living mosaic of lions, zebras, buffalos, gazelles, and the rare and regal black rhino. Mist hangs in the early morning air, catching the light as it filters through the high crater walls, creating a dreamlike vista that unfolds in every direction. In this ancient caldera, every turn offers a new marvel—and for a moment, time stands still.

Day 6

Mto wa Mbuu Culture Tour

Today, your journey takes a vibrant turn as you explore the lively village of Mto wa Mbu, a place where the heart of Tanzania beats in a symphony of languages, flavors, and traditions. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, this bustling community is home to over 120 different tribes, each contributing to a kaleidoscope of culture that is as diverse as it is harmonious.

Walk through banana plantations where golden bunches hang heavy under the sun, visit artisan workshops where skilled hands carve intricate pieces from wood, and step into bustling local markets alive with color, chatter, and the scent of freshly ground spices. Taste the warmth of Tanzanian hospitality in a traditional lunch prepared by local women, and feel the rhythm of village life flow all around you.

Day 7

Fly to Zanzibar

Fly to the enchanting spice island of Zanzibar, where you’re welcomed by our guide and taken to your hotel. Relax on white sandy beaches, swim in turquoise waters, and explore vibrant coral reefs. Dive into culture in historic Stone Town and discover the island’s rich flavors with a visit to the spice plantations. A tropical paradise of beauty, culture, and flavor awaits.

Day 8 -11

Zanzibar – The Ultimate Paradise

Gorgeous and tropical, Zanzibar offers clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean and palm-fringed, white sandy beaches that seem almost unreal. Fresh coconuts are served right on the beach, perfect for sipping under the shade of a swaying palm.

The hours stretch long and golden — perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or savoring the rich flavors of authentic Zanzibari cuisine. For the adventurous, the island opens up with possibilities: glide across the ocean on a Safari Blue Cruise, or walk through the winding streets of  Stone Town, where history, culture, and architecture blend into one unforgettable journey.

Departure

On your final day in Zanzibar, enjoy some last moments on the beach or explore a bit more before your driver takes you to the airport. Not ready to leave? You can extend your trip to nearby paradise islands like Mnemba, Pemba, or Mafia for even more unforgettable experiences.
