Day 1
Arusha to Serengeti
You’ll begin your journey with an early morning road transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, offering scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp, settle in, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Serengeti. This is a great opportunity to spot wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and the early stages of the Great Migration. After a thrilling afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Mara River Crossing
Start the day with an early morning game drive to witness the dramatic Mara River crossing. Watch as wildebeests and zebras make their way across the river, facing challenges like swift currents and crocodiles. Your guide will take you to the best viewing spots to enjoy this thrilling spectacle. Afterward, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and spend the rest of the afternoon following the migrating herds as they move northward through the Serengeti. Day 3
Full Day Safari in Serengeti
On Day 3, you will have a full-day game drive to explore more of Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you to various locations in the park, where you will continue to follow the migrating herds and spot a variety of wildlife. Expect to see predators like lions and cheetahs, which closely follow the migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue your exploration in the afternoon, observing other wildlife and the park’s diverse landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful evening.
Day 4
Predator Viewing & Exploration
Today, you will head out early for a safari focused on predator viewing. Serengeti is known for its high concentration of predators, and you will track lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt and interact with the migrating herds. Explore different parts of the Serengeti, from open plains to riverine forests, while also learning about the Serengeti’s ecosystem. Day 5
Morning Safari & Return to Arusha
On your final day, take an early morning game drive to catch one last glimpse of the migration or the Mara River crossing. After the safari, return to your lodge for breakfast before starting your drive back to Arusha. Depending on the road conditions and your departure time, you may stop for a final view of the Serengeti’s stunning landscapes before heading back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
