Mikumi National Park
Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam, where you’ll set off in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle headed toward Mikumi National Park. As you travel along the scenic Morogoro highway, you’ll enjoy a packed breakfast while watching the sunrise over the Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival at the park, after completing registration, you’ll dive straight into an exciting game drive across Mikumi’s vast plains. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and, with some luck, even lions or leopards. Around midday, you’ll pause for lunch at a picnic site or one of the charming lodges inside the park, like Mikumi Wildlife Camp or Vuma Hills Lodge. After lunch, the adventure continues with an afternoon game drive, exploring more of the park’s unique landscapes, from hippo pools to acacia woodlands teeming with birdlife. As the sun begins to set, you’ll start the return journey to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening with your camera full of incredible moments and your heart full of unforgettable safari memories.
