Mount Meru Hiking
The Mount Meru Day Hike with Jambo International Tour begins early in the morning with a pickup from your accommodation in Arusha. After a scenic drive, you will arrive at Momella Gate where you’ll meet your guide, prepare your gear, and receive a briefing on the hike ahead. the trek begins from Momella Gate at 1,500 meters, and you’ll start making your way through lush forests with stunning views of Mount Meru and the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to spot wildlife like buffalo, giraffes, and monkeys.
You will take a short break to rest and enjoy a snack, taking in the beautiful surroundings. The hike continues toward Miriakamba Hut at 2,500 meters, after a brief rest and some lunch, you’ll begin the descent back to Momella Gate enjoying more wildlife and scenic views along the way. You’ll return to Momella Gate where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventure before heading back to Arusha by completing your rewarding trek up Mount Meru.
